CYNTHIA MARIE is a performing songwriter, pianist, & music teacher with a background in classical, jazz, and folk music. A recipient of the 2020 Maryland State Arts Council Independent Artist Award, she has produced three albums of original music, and received Jackstraw Artist-in-Residency and Seattle Mayor’s Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs’ Smart Ventures grants. A seasoned pianist with a love for improvisation, her latest album “Harbor" has been featured on WERA.FM, Voices from the DMV, FEMchord, DC Music Rocks, Takoma Radio, Hometown Sounds, and WAMU Bandwidth.
